Our Principal Consultant
Born in Prince Edward Island, Canada, to a military father and understanding mother, Vaughan Bentley and his 3 siblings moved a great deal from pillar to posting. His graduation from the Royal MIlitary College in Kingston, Ontario marked the 18th school he had attended. He also has a Masters of Education from Queen's University, a Myers-Briggs certification from the University of Toronto, and a mediation certification from Harvard University's Faculty of Law.
Vaughan is a coach, mediator, facilitator & editor who loves working with people to find the best solutions with the least pain. As a volunteer in his community he has also given time to municipal committee work, citizen action groups, youth sports teams, and his children's schools.
Bentley's clients have included numerous Federal Government and private sector organizations. He has advised Early Childhood Education organizations, artist cooperatives, charitable organizations and self-employed individuals. The issues range from standard business and career problems, to facing personal difficulties.
Vaughan worked 10 years as an editor in a number of fields, operating a small publishing firm during three of those years. He had earlier published a book of his own poetry while serving in the Canadian Forces. Subsequently he experimented as a world traveler, working on a commune for a year, driving taxis, welding, building houses, picking oranges, and cultivating cotton fields.
He has taught school in prisons, learned several languages, and generally gone where the challenges lie. Happily married and father of two sons, Vaughan has almost resigned himself to growing up.
